Destination Florence Convention Bureau has also developed a series of important projects in order to support the associations segment at our best. _Florence Academic Leadership Programme: It is a programme that aims to increase the number of international business events that choose Florence as the host city, supporting the participants in the development of their role as ambassadors _Advisory Board: A group of important local leaders, which is a point of reference for all the other ambassadors and our bidding strategies. The head of this board is the Mayor of Florence and it gathers together local excellencies such as Careggi Hospital, The Meyer and the University of Florence _Italian Knowledge Leaders: It was launched by Convention Bureau Italia in 2021 with the aim of involving and supporting the Italian academic community in its pursuit of innovation, expertise, and culture. By identifying and supporting the many Italian Knowledge Leaders who have risen to the Presidency of Associations thanks to their skills, experiences, and resolve to represent their professional communities, Convention Bureau Italia’s goal is to improve even further Italy’s significance as a destination for associative conferences and thus the role of our country in the scientific global landscape. _Benefit Programme: A full complimentary package of benefits and tools. A real contribution to the success of every congress choosing Florence as its next host destination _Special financial contribution: International associations and congress organizers bidding Florence as host destination are eligible to apply for a specific and tailored subvention plan with the aim to finance or co-finance specific activities related to the congress and the destination _EU CVB Network: It consists of eight convention bureaux representing the cities of Florence, Gothenburg, Ljubljana, Lyon, Porto, Rotterdam, Salzburg and València. The Network offers organisers of international meetings the opportunity to get in touch with eight cities at once. The destinations share many common characteristics, not only when it comes to compact city centres and centrally located meeting facilities.
