Recent Initiative:
Project AAA - Access All Areas
MEO ARENA CORPORATE AND CONGRESS CENTRE concluded a series of improvements in its space to make the space increasingly accessible to people with disabilities.
The Project has a position of inclusion to approach people with disabilities and the deaf, marking the national and international panorama by promoting social and technological innovation.
We did investments in the building, to further facilitate the entry of people with reduced mobility; at the bar, better access to wheelchair users; a platform near the stages for people with disabilities; a crossbar adapted for wheelchairs at the concourse area.
The website responds in a more optimized way to various levels of disability and has a page – Accessibility – where all relevant information for this community can be found.
Finally:
· Audio description pilot tests for visually impaired people.
It is a form of narration used to provide information about key visual elements. It translates images into words and is essential for people with visual and intellectual disabilities, dyslexia, and the elderly.
and
· Sensory vests for deaf people
Sensorial vests that allow them to feel the vibration of the music. Simultaneously, the songs were performed by two Portuguese Sign Language interpreters.
